These transformers were ordered by a distributor from Montreal, Canada, for local utility projects, with a total of 40 units. In this project, the transformer input voltage is specified as 2494GrdY/14400V, and the output voltage is 240/120V. The high-voltage BIL is rated at 125 kV, while the low-voltage BIL stands at 30 kV, ensuring the equipment's resilience in maintaining stable operation even in the face of voltage fluctuations and power system shocks, safeguarding against damage.

The 75 kVA single-phase pad-mounted transformer employs the ONAN cooling method and uses mineral oil as the insulating liquid, characterized by a fire point equal to or less than 300°C. Polarity is additive for the 75 kVA transformer, and the core is effectively grounded. These 75 kVA transformers feature two internally connected high-voltage bushing wells, identified as H1A and H1B, fitted with removable bolts. These wells can be connected to the distribution system via deadbreak elbows, designed for dead-front operation, and strictly adhere to the dimensional and electrical requirements outlined in IEEE 386. Each high-voltage bushing well is thoughtfully furnished with a protective cap. The low-voltage bushings are equipped with three stud-type bushings with copper plating and 7-hole terminals. Every unit 75 kVA transformer is equipped with two 2-position oil-immersed load-break switches, specially designed to operate within a temperature range spanning from -40°C to 120°C, employing a hot-stick mechanism.

Each 75 kVA transformer undergoes a series of routine tests before it leaves the factory, in strict adherence to the ANSI/IEEE C57.12.90 standard. These tests are critical to ensuring the transformer's performance and safety. The routine tests consist of the following:

  • (a) Ratio tests on each connection.
  • (b) Polarity verification.
  • (c) Assessment of no-load losses at 105% rated voltage, corrected to 85°C.
  • (d) Evaluation of exciting current at 105% rated voltage.
  • (e) Measurement of load losses and impedance at rated current, conducted on the rated voltage connection, and corrected to 85°C. It's important to note that this test is performed on the high-voltage connection that exhibits the highest measured loss value.
  • (f) Applied voltage tests.
  • (g) Induced voltage assessments.
  • (h) Transformer tank leak-detection test, conducted on each transformer tank to validate the integrity of the welds. This test is also performed on the final assembled unit without the pressure relief device.

This rigorous testing is performed to ensure the electrical and mechanical integrity of the transformer. Subsequently, each assembled transformer undergoes the routine tests mentioned earlier. After successfully completing these final routine tests, Daelim Transformer promptly generates a comprehensive professional test report, which is then submitted to the buyer for review. The report documents energy efficiency and test results, including those specified in Items (c), (d), and (e), as per CAN/CSA-C802.1 standards. It is signed by a professional engineer or another authorized individual. Only when the transformer's performance and safety indicators meet or exceed the required standards will it be ready for shipment to the buyer.

Insulation Fluid: The ZGD-H-75/34.5/19.92-240/120 transformer uses mineral oil 45#. The boiling point and instant ignition point of mineral oil are not lower than 140°, and it is not flammable. It has good insulation and heat dissipation effect, which not only improves the insulation strength but also protects against moisture erosion. Does not produce PCB and other harmful gases. It is harmless to people. If you need vegetable oil, Daelim can provide two brands of FR3 and RAPO for you to choose from.
