50 kVA Single Phase Pad Mounted Transformer

These 50 kVA transformers are meticulously designed and manufactured in strict accordance with IEEE Std C57.12.38. They serve as medium-voltage distribution transformers within underground power distribution systems. The primary voltage is rated at 12470GRDY/7200V, with a secondary voltage of 240/120V. Operating at a frequency of 60Hz, these transformers achieve an outstanding efficiency rating of up to 99.11% and boast an impedance value of approximately 2%. Furthermore, the on-load loss value remains under 441W, and the no-load loss value does not exceed 125W. To ensure seamless integration into various environments, the transformers are finished with Munsell Green paint, enabling them to blend harmoniously with their surroundings, including parks, hotels, villas, and residences.

On the high-voltage side, the 50 kVA pad-mounted transformer is equipped with two 15 kV 200A HV bushing wells, each with precision-engineered inserts and protective dust caps. Safety is a paramount consideration, which is why a double fuse protection system, consisting of bayonet and ELSP fuses, is incorporated. This system effectively guards against overcurrents during transformer operation, reducing the risk of damage from short circuits and other faults. The bayonet fuse, known for its plug-in design, simplifies maintenance. To prevent insulating oil from dripping onto other areas of the transformer during maintenance or in the event of a fuse failure, a drip tray is thoughtfully positioned beneath the bayonet fuse installation site.

In October 2022, a transformer retailer in Vancouver, Canada, commissioned Daelim Transformer to supply eight dual-voltage 50 kVA single-phase pad-mounted transformers. The challenge at hand stemmed from the unique dual distribution system lines at the end customer's location, operating at 14.4 kV and 7.2 kV. Consequently, the customer required transformers capable of seamlessly switching between these two voltage levels.

In response, Daelim Transformer developed a bespoke transformer solution, tailored to the specific needs of the end user. A dual high-voltage design was implemented on the high-voltage side of the transformer, featuring a tap on the high-voltage winding connected to a switch. This innovation allows for effortless voltage adjustment across five levels, spanning from 14.4 kV * 7.2 kV, with a variance of ±2 * 2 ½%.

The ZGDL-H-50/14.4/0.24(0.12) represents a residential transformer with a high voltage rating of 24.94/14.4kV and a low voltage of 240/120V. This residential transformer order was placed by a utility customer in Montreal, Canada, from Daelim Transformer, encompassing a total of 26 units. What truly sets these transformers apart is their outstanding performance, consistently exceeding the rigorous CSA C227.3 standards. Notably, their transformer efficiency values soar beyond 98.84%, while their impedance values register at approximately 1.9%.

On the high voltage side, these transformers feature an array of essential components, including a four-position loadbreak switch, a bayonet fuse, a 5-position tap changer, and two HV bushings equipped with inserts. On the low voltage side, practical elements are incorporated, such as an oil level gauge and 3 LV bushings, each with 4 holes.
