Requirements and Daelim Transformer Solution
In October 2023, Daelim Transformer received an inquiry from a customer seeking transformers for their 20MW Bitcoin mine in Kansas. The power grid lines are rated at 13.8kV, while the bitcoin miner requires a voltage of 480V. Leveraging our extensive experience with numerous crypto mining projects across North America, our engineering team swiftly proposed the optimal solution: five units of 2600 kVA pad-mounted transformers. The selection of pad-mounted transformers was based on their ease of installation and minimal maintenance requirements. Moreover, the 2600 kVA capacity was chosen to help the customer minimize procurement costs and maximize economic benefits.
Customer Satisfaction
When Daelim Transformer offered this solution to the customer and delineated its advantages, the customer commented on Daelim Transformer's professionalism, considering it one of the most remarkable suppliers they have dealt with. They expressed high recognition and trust towards both us and the proposed transformer solution. Following this, in November, our engineering team concluded the design drawings and validated them with the customer. The customer expects us to complete the production of the transformers by the end of March 2024.
Execution Excellence
Daelim Transformer's procurement, production, and ancillary departments demonstrate exceptional efficiency. Production was successfully concluded on January 31, 2024, within a remarkably brief 10-week timeframe—8 weeks ahead of the customer’s initial expectations.
