Key Design Highlights:
We specialize in custom transformer designs, and this particular unit features several advanced and unique design elements.
Tamper-Proof Pad-Mounted Design
This transformer is designed with a tamper-proof, pad-mounted structure, making it ideal for integration into underground power systems with a voltage rating of up to 44kV.
Low Voltage Side-Out Design
The low voltage compartment is located separately from the high voltage compartment, mounted on the side of the oil tank. This arrangement enhances safety by isolating the low and high voltage sections, minimizing risk.
Gauges and Drain & Sample Valve
To improve safety, efficiency, and compliance, the transformer features lockable externally mounted gauges and a drain & sample valve. These allow operators to inspect the oil and check the gauges without accessing the HV/LV bushings inside the main enclosure. This design also helps to prevent theft of insulating oil.
Get PricePressure Relief Device
The 44kV 2MVA Live Front Transformer is equipped with a pressure relief device located at the top of the oil tank. In the event of a sudden rise in internal pressure that exceeds the preset safety threshold, the relief device is automatically activated to quickly release excess pressure or gas from the transformer. Once the internal pressure returns to a safe, normal range, the device will automatically reset and return to its original state, ensuring continued safe operation of the transformer.
Additionally, Daelim Transformer has incorporated a thoughtful design enhancement to the pressure relief device by adding a small, waterproof and dustproof cover. This feature helps protect the device from environmental elements, ensuring reliable performance in diverse operating conditions.

The high voltage compartment features three live front bushings, rated for 46kV and 417A. The bushings are made from porcelain, known for its high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and excellent insulating properties, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh environmental conditions.
Three 44kV lightning arresters are installed to enhance the transformer's safety and reliability. These arresters divert surge voltages and prevent damage caused by lightning strikes, ultimately extending the lifespan of the transformer, reducing maintenance costs, and minimizing downtime risks for the residents.
Contact Daelim TransformerLV Compartment
The design of the low voltage compartment is particularly notable. It incorporates a side-outlet throat design and a separate lockable hatch for added security. This makes it ideal for installation in public areas such as apartment complexes.
The low voltage compartment is equipped with four 6-hole epoxy resin spade bushings, one of which is dedicated to grounding. Given the transformer’s responsibility for supplying power to 300 households, we have also included LV cable support to ensure secure and efficient cable management.
Get PriceGauges and Monitoring
The transformer is equipped with oil level and oil temperature indicators, each featuring two contacts for remote monitoring.
If the oil level becomes too high or too low, an alarm signal is transmitted to the remote control room, alerting the operator to take appropriate action (i.e., adding or releasing insulating oil).
In the event that the internal oil temperature exceeds 65°C, an alarm is triggered, prompting maintenance personnel to inspect the transformer. If the temperature reaches 80°C, the transformer will automatically disconnect from the power grid to protect both the transformer and any connected equipment from damage.
